The steep learning curve and shortage of "omg haxor pwn!" 13-year olds is one of the things that drew me into the game, and now I see that crap spewing everywhere and yes... it hurts the image of the game--no matter how you try to think it doesn't. But they don't care you see. It's all just e-playing in an e-game with e-fictional e-pixelships and e-missiles after all. Why should they care what you think ? Why take anything anywhere near serious anyway ? It's not like someone can actually do something about it. And even if, why should your e-opinion count for anything more then theirs ? So yeah, let's abuse the trial system by adding another 2000 trial accounts to its load, and let's abuse game mechanics by doing our utmost to irritate anyone and anything while flying these trial characters that serve no other purpose then showing off our lack of interest and our uncaring e-attitude.
